About Torree

Torree J. Breen is the chair of the Estate Planning and Family Law Practice Group.  She is also a member of the firm’s Litigation Group and Hospitality and Alcohol Law Practice Groups.   Ms. Breen specializes in drafting wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, trust administration and probate court.  In addition, she specializes in family law which includes divorce, child custody disputes, prenuptial agreements, guardianships/conservatorships, and grandparent’s rights.

For the Hospitality and Alcohol Law Practice Group, she specifically focuses upon Liquor Control Commission license violations and Lottery Commission violations.   Her practice encompasses both the Lansing and Traverse City locations.

Ms. Breen has served as Secretary on the firm's Board of Directors.  She has also served as the President of the Women Lawyer's Association of Michigan, Mid-Michigan Section, from 2012-2015. 

In 2016, Ms. Breen was awarded a "Regional Leadership Award" by the Women Lawyer's Association of Michigan.  The Regional Leadership Award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of an individual WLAM member who has demonstrated professionalism, excellence and dedication to furthering the objectives of WLAM.

Ms. Breen was selected as one of the Top Ten Family Law Attorneys in Michigan in (2014-2016) by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys (NAFLA).   She was recognized as being among the Top Ten Family Law Attorneys as selected by The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys (AIFLA) for 2014-2017.

Ms. Breen was recognized as a "Super Lawyer Rising Star" in 2008 and 2010.  She also has been rated a "10.0" attorney by AVVO from 2012 to present.  

Ms. Breen has received a Certificate of Completion in the area of Family Law issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
