Homecoming Parking and Road Closing Reminders

The 2019 Michigan State University Homecoming festivities, Homecoming Parade and football game will be celebrated the week of September 23-28, 2019. These events will bring additional visitors to the East Lansing community.

Friday, September 27th: The homecoming parade steps off at 6:00 p.m. It will begin at the intersection of Abbot Road and Burcham Drive at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, travel south on Abbot, east on Grand River, south at Collingwood onto the MSU campus, south on Farm Lane and will conclude at the corner of Farm and Shaw Lanes.


Staging for the parade begins at 2:30 p.m. and the following East Lansing streets will be closed:
• Abbot between Whitehills /Oxford and Burcham from 2:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. for parade staging
• Centerlawn from Abbot to Forest from 2:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. for parade staging
• Northlawn from Abbot to Forest from 2:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. for parade staging
• Evergreen from Centerlawn to Northlawn from 2:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. for parade staging
• Forest Street from Centerlawn to Northlawn from 2:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. for parade staging
• Fern from Abbot to Evergreen from 2:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. for parade staging
• Abbot Road from Burcham to Grand River from 5:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. or until the last unit has moved off Grand River
• Grand River between Abbot and Collingwood entrance from 5:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. or until the last unit has moved off Grand River
• Burcham westbound between Old Hickory and Abbot from 2:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. or until the last unit has moved off Burcham
