Ray Foresman has recently completed the 40-hour Mediation Training Program sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Based upon this intense training program and his more than 35 years' experience as a trial lawyer, Mr. Foresman is offering his services as a mediator to litigators across the state. Mr. Foresman has tried more than 125 civil jury cases. During the early years of his career, he primarily tried third-party insurance defense matters. In more recent years, he proved to be one of the state’s best medical malpractice trial lawyers. In addition, he has successfully handled numerous commercial cases across Michigan. These matters include numerous franchise cases for plaintiff automobile dealers and beer and wine wholesalers against manufacturers and suppliers. He has also handled a number of construction cases and arbitrations. The success of a mediator depends on the fairness and respect that the mediator brings to the process. Mr. Foresman has a reputation for integrity, fairness and always treating opponents and judges with respect. During his litigation practice, he has worked with and against some of the best litigators in Michigan. In addition, he has appeared before many outstanding state and federal judges. These experiences have helped shape his insight into litigation, including the art of settlement. He now looks forward to working with lawyers and judges as a mediator.
